AMS Membership Fee
At Asheville Music School, we’re all about finding the right musical fit for you and your family. For new students embarking on private lessons, we offer a two-week trial period with your chosen teacher to ensure it's a perfect match, without the immediate requirement of an AMS Membership.
Here's how it works:
- AMS Membership for Private Lessons: To access our network of talented teachers and book private lessons at AMS, families with students taking private lessons beyond the initial two-week trial must have an active AMS Membership. This can be either $6/month or $65/year. Any changes to your membership, including payment updates or cancellation, can be done at our Billing Portal or by reaching out to info@ashevillemusicschool.org.
- Direct Payment to Teachers: Remember, while the AMS Membership allows you to arrange private lessons, the actual lesson tuition is separate and paid directly to your teacher, not to AMS.
- What the AMS Membership Covers: The AMS Membership provides the opportunity to connect with and take lessons from our private teachers at the school. It does not include the cost of private lesson tuition, group class tuition, ensemble membership, or summer camp fees — those are additional and paid as per the respective programs.
Waiver
By registering and paying for our memberships, in consideration of my (and/or my child’s) participation in this activity, I hereby release and discharge Asheville Music School, and its representatives, independent contractors, board of directors, volunteers, successors, and assigns, from any and all liability arising from accident, injury, and illness that I (he/she) may suffer as a result of my (our) participation in this activity. I (we) also will follow the rules and regulations set by Asheville Music School and above named parties. Parent or guardian must sign for anyone under age 18.
Permission to Use Photograph/Video/Audio
I grant to Asheville Music School, its representatives and employees, the right to take photographs, videos and /or audio recordings of me, my son/daughter and property, and I authorize Asheville Music School, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and /or electronically. I agree that Asheville Music School may use such photographs/videos/audio recordings with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including publicity, illustration, advertising, social media, and Web content.
Privacy
We respect your privacy and want you to feel comfortable using our online systems. Please use this document to reference what data we collect and how we use it. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@ashevillemusicschool.org.
Asheville Music School accounts give you and your teachers a way to utilize our platform for things such as lesson scheduling and livestreaming.
Here’s a rundown of the data we collect from you.
For your AMS Account:
- Your name
- Any family members’ names you provide
- Your email address
- Your physical billing address
For summer camp registrations:
- Any information you provide in registration forms
We use this information for internal purposes (such as following up on your account status and lesson referrals and sending invoices). We only share your information with our administrative staff and teachers that you request lessons from. We do not sell or distribute your information to anyone else or any company, including web analytics companies.
You may use our platform to request lessons with teachers directly. To facilitate this, our site will email your contact information (including the phone and email address you provide us) to the teacher you request and cc our administrative staff to follow up on the referral status. We only send information to teachers you request. We do not share your information with our teachers otherwise.
