Adult Old-Time Jam

7-week series (skipping week of July 4th)
Learn the basics of Folk/Old-Time Jam, in the style you might see at Jack of the Wood, Warren Wilson, or the Swannanoa Gathering. You'll just need to know the basics of how to play your instrument (and you'll need your instrument too).
Class will emphasize:
- building repertoire of traditional songs and tunes
- learning the roll of folk instruments in context of the ensemble
- folk style "jam" techniques and basic improvisation to blend well with the group based on individual skill level
Novice to intermediate players welcome. This class is not suitable for total beginners.
