Illness Policy
To help keep all students and staff healthy, please stay home if you are sick. If you or your student has an active cough or is frequently sneezing, please wear a well-fitting mask while at the school or consider staying home until symptoms improve. Staff may ask students who appear ill to wear a mask.
Please stay home if you or your student has:
- A fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher
- Vomited or had diarrhea within the past 24 hours
- A contagious illness (such as strep throat, COVID-19, influenza, pink eye, or chickenpox) until cleared to return
- A persistent cough or other symptoms that prevent comfortable participation in lessons or camp activities
Students may return when they:
- Have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication
- Have not vomited or had diarrhea for at least 24 hours
- Feel well enough to participate in normal lessons or camp activities
- Meet any return-to-school, workplace, or healthcare provider recommendations for contagious illnesses
If a student becomes ill while at the school, we will contact the student's parent or guardian (for minors) or the student directly (for adult students) to arrange for them to return home as soon as practical.
Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy, safe environment for everyone.
