Joseph Higginbotham

Joe Higginbotham, DMA, is a guitar teacher and performer living in Asheville, North Carolina. Joe was born in Kansas, began studying the piano at age 8, and switched to the guitar at 15. His teachers fostered a love for music and understanding of the importance of music education.

Joe holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University, where he studied under Frank Koonce. Joe was a teaching assistant while at ASU and was nominated for a teaching excellence award by his students.
