BIO

Adrianne Blanks (she/her) is a professional singer, songwriter, voice teacher, and piano teacher. In 2011 she began teaching private voice lessons, and has had over 50
students in this time. Students’ accomplishments include winning first place at the National Association of Teachers of Singing High School Musical Theatre Competition
as well as the Musichorale Scholarship Contest, leading roles at high schools and colleges, as well as many successful recitals and awards.

Adrianne received her training at The Boston Conservatory, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music. She completed her master’s degree at Roosevelt University, College of the Performing Arts. She is known for her warm and sweet voice. Audiences have seen her sing in North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Florida, and Italy. She has performed over twenty roles with the likes of Opera Naples, Natchez Festival of Music, Sugar Creek Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Her original music has been heard on WNCW, Buzz Radio Asheville, WTZQ and Asheville FM. She has played with her band, Adrianne Blanks & The Oracles at The NC Arboretum, The Grey Eagle, One World Brewing West, Restoration Hotel, Monte Vista Hotel, Sweeten Creek Brewing, The Asheville VeganFest as well as the Nashville VegFest, Georgia VegFest, Primavera Roadhouse in Lansing, NC, Cedar Point Amusement Park in OH, and both the Golden Dagger and Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago. Adrianne maintains an active career singing both her original music and championing some of her favorite songwriters. She has been in the Top 20 most requested songs on Buzz Radio Asheville and has been interviewed on Asheville FM.

LESSONS WITH ADRIANNE

Master the art of vocalization through song with lessons from an experienced professional.

Singing can be healthy, exciting, effortless-feeling, and cathartic all at the same time. Our one-on-one lessons link student goals with positive outcomes by developing an understanding of healthy vocal habits, production, and presentation of repertoire that fits and flatters the voice. Areas of study include classical, music theatre, folk, and rock/pop.

Adrianne’s voice students gain an understanding for proper use of breath, projection, ease, tone quality, diction, and confidence in solo singing. Adrianne’s piano students focus on proper technique, posture, phrasing, legato, sight-reading, and performance.

Adrianne’s teaching style is patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic.
